HERBALISM WORKSHOPS

Chinese Medicine

APOTHECARY BASICS, $120

Saturday, September 28th, 10 AM - 2 PM

In this introduction to medicinal herbalism we will show you the ropes of making your own apothecary basics, including: 

  • TINCTURE- Tinctures are an alcohol-based infusion to bring out the medicinal qualities of an herb. Please let us know if an alcohol base does not work for you and we will do our best to accommodate. 

  • SALVE - Salves are an oil-based infusion used to soothe and nourish the skin.

  • TEA BLEND - Utilize our stocked apothecary to create your own tea blend based on your needs.

  • HYDROSOL - Hydrosols are a water-based product made through distillation of plant materials. We will use our new, beautiful glass distiller!

Soup will be provided.

Join us for a fresh take on learning herbalism. During our September & October classes we'll taste two different teas and tincture extractions of a single herb and compare and contrast our observations. Then, we'll reveal the herbs and discuss their properties and uses. Stay for soup and tea afterwards!

Join us for this much-requested formulation workshop.
We’ll learn about formulating herbal teas, taste a few blends and make a custom blend of tea to take home!

Join us on the farm for our first fire cider workshop of the season. We’ll harvest ingredients, learn about formulating oxymel and the benefits of fire cider in the colder months, and make a batch to take home!
Oxymel is an herbal extraction using apple cider vinegar and honey. The herbs used are completely customizable depending on your specific needs and tastes.

BEESWAX WRAPS, $25

Wednesday, November 6th, 5:30 - 7 PM

Make your own beeswax wraps! Beeswax wraps are a great alternative to single-use plastic and help reduce food waste.
All materials included.
